About Lax For The Cure™:
Lax For The Cure™ was the idea of Jessica Shoulberg, Mendham High School Coach and director of STEPS Lacrosse.  During the summer of 2007 The STEPS Lacrosse club had 4 mothers fighting breast cancer.  Jessica's concept came from the notion that with the growth of girls lacrosse and summer tournament circuit, that an opportunity presented itself to start a tournament that would meet the ideals of players, parents, clubs, and college coaches. The goal was to ultimately find a way to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer within the girls lacrosse community. 

 

10% of all entry fees and 100% of all team and individual donations go directly to Susan G. Komen For the Cure. In addition to playing in the tournament, all teams are encouraged to raise additional funds for the fight against breast cancer.  This initiative is completely optional.
